The Sound of Sleigh Bells & GIVEAWAY!!!

Book: The Sound of Sleigh Bells
Author: Cindy Woodsmall

Beth Hertzler works alongside her beloved Aunt Lizzy in their dry goods store & serves as a contact between Amish craftsmen & Englischer retailers. But remorse & lonliness still echo in her heart every day, & she still wears dark dresses to indicate her mourning of her fiance. When she discovers a large, intricately carved scene of Amish children playing in the snow in an Englischer store, something deep inside Beth's soul responds & she wants to help the unknown artist find homes for his work.

Lizzy sees the changes in her niece when Beth shows her the woodworking & after meeting Jonah, the artist, she is determined that Beth come to know this man whose hands create healing art. But it's not that simple - Beth has cut herself from any possibility of romance. Will Lizzy's elaborate plan to reintroduce her niece to love work? Will Jonah be able to offer Beth new hope & a second change at real love - or just more heartbreak?

___________________
I have to start off immediately by saying I could not put this book down. The writing in this story was great - easy enough to be able to digest it & complex enough where you feel you know the characters so well by the end. I read this book in just a day - didnt want to put it down.

The story of Beth & the life she has lived & the reason she is mourning so deeply is just interesting to unfold. And the story of Jonah & the sufferings he too has dealt with in his life is just as intriguing. The "scheme" that Aunt Lizzy pulls is sneaky & risky...I dont want to give anything away about the story... but its a story that I think anyone could really appreciate. The under lying story of God's forgiveness & how someone handles regret & guilt is also so relevant. Wonderfully done!

Of course, for me - I love a good story that involves family, love & God as the center of everything so this was a home run for me.

You can buy the book right HERE or you can be the lucky winner!! I have an extra copy & am excited about giving this away to someone who loves a great read!

All you have to do is comment!!! Simple enough! If you want to "follow" this blog, I'll throw in another entry.... I'll do the giveaway on Oct 16 - Friday... so act quick!

I have been following your blog for a few months now, but this is the first I visited your book blog. I will follow it now too.
One of my favorite authors is Beverly Lewis. Something about the simplicity of the Amish life just speaks to me.
This book sounds like an excellent read.
